Christina Aguilera Meets Etta James |
Jazz legend Etta James was shocked when she met
Christina Aguilera, because she couldn't believe
such a powerful voice came out of her tiny body.
The two singing sensations came together for a photo
shoot for the July (06) issue of InStyle magazine,
and James was astounded at her slight build.
She says, "At my age, 68-years-old, to run into a
lady like this...
"When I first saw her I just couldn't believe that
all that big sound, all that big voice was coming
out of this little girl!" Aguilera also praised
James' talents, hailing the singer one of the
biggest influences on her career.
She recalls, ""I was a bundle of nerves before
meeting her. She's my all time favourite singer and
I'm thrilled to get to do this with her.
"All of Etta's old songs, there are countless songs
I can just name off the top of my head that I grew
up listening to. I can die happy now!" |
